Kong aerodrome where a service unit is at present
stationed and where the possibilities of sudden local
disturbance appear to be greater. The Air Council agree
nevertheless that the restrictions proposed for singapore
should be applied to Hong Kong to the extent that (1)
no photographic apparatus, explosives, arms or ammunition
of war should be carried in any civil aircraft and (2)
civil aircraft should be required to comply with any
regulations which may be issued defining corridors of
approach to and departure from the aerodrome.
In regard to paragraph 2 of your letter under
reply, the Air Council are also not informed what connection,
if any, there is between the proposal now referred to and
that which was submitted in the despatch from Hong Kong
of the 27th August.
A copy of this letter and of your letter under
reply are being sent to the War Office.
